Si vous souhaitez découvrir des espèces aquatiques que vous n'avez jamais vues, venez visiter l'aquarium Poema del Mar, qui abrite plus de 350 espèces et 6 millions de litres d'eau. Il est doté de la plus grande vitre courbe au monde, longue de 36 mètres : un spectacle à ne surtout pas manquer !
Ouvert début 2018, l'aquarium Poema del Mar réunit trois écosystèmes : marin de surface, marin profond et d'eau douce. Vous pourrez y observer des requins, des piranhas noirs, des raies, des crocodiles, des thons, et bien plus encore.

L'un des spécimens les plus fascinants que vous pourrez y découvrir est le protée (souvent appelé « poisson humain »), originaire des grottes de Slovénie. Cette espèce est aujourd'hui très rare, et sa ressemblance avec l'être humain est pour le moins surprenante. Une rencontre qui ne manquera pas de vous étonner !

Le projet de cet aquarium repose sur l'innovation, la conservation et la durabilité. Il a d'ailleurs été qualifié par le gouvernement des Canaries de projet « d'intérêt stratégique pour la région ». De nombreux animaux qui y sont hébergés appartiennent à des espèces menacées d'extinction ; grâce à cet aquarium, ils pourront continuer à se reproduire.
